Site of a vacant 42,000-square-foot former nursing home in Farmington, closed and in significant disrepair for several years, in the SSROZ zone. The TPZ approved redevelopment into 62 homes in January 2026: five residential buildings, mixed income, including 14 supportive units to be served by the Arc of the Farmington Valley, plus a leasing and resident services area. On July 27, 2026 the commission approved on-site concrete crushing for the demolition, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays, roughly six weeks of intermittent crushing inside an eight-week window beginning mid-September and finishing by October 31, 2026. Asbestos abatement was already underway at the time of the hearing.
