Three budgeted kindergarten teachers were never needed, so Farmington Public Schools ended 2025-26 with $248,435 unspent. It let $100,000 lapse to the town and banked $148,435 in a reserve now at $457,646.15, which the finance chief says will let next year's request come in lower.
