Engineering and planning consulting firm selected by the Farmington Town Council on July 28, 2026 to write the 2028-2038 Plan of Conservation and Development and administer a combined town-wide community survey, for $129,190 ($116,690 for the POCD and $12,500 for the added Strategic Plan survey tasks). Chosen after interviews with four firms on June 23, 2026 narrowed the field to two finalists. Project team led by Robert Collins. Proposal partners include Resilient Land and Water.

Farmington's New Website Costs Less Than Budgeted. Keeping It Costs Four Times as Much.

The Farmington Town Council unanimously hired CivicPlus to rebuild the town's website for $61,690.98, about $13,300 under budget. Beginning in year two, keeping it running costs $48,902.68 a year, roughly four times what the town pays now, with a 5 percent annual escalator and automatic renewals. And if Farmington ever leaves, it keeps its data but loses the back end that runs the site.
