FARMINGTON — Farmington police made two arrests Sunday, the only ones on the log covering 7 a.m. Friday through 7 a.m. Monday. A Bristol woman was charged with assault and risk of injury to a child, among other charges, and a Hartford man with driving under the influence.

Sunday, Oct. 18

4:11 a.m., 319 New Britain Avenue, the Farmington Police Department. Sgt. Sean P. Bailey arrested Moises Mendez-Santiz, 31, of Hartford, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs under section 14-227a of the Connecticut General Statutes and operating a motor vehicle without a license under section 14-36(a). Bond was $1,500, nonsurety, on the DUI count. A nonsurety bond is a written promise to appear with a dollar amount attached; no cash changes hands. The log lists no bond on the license charge. Court date Nov. 2. The log gives the police station as the place of arrest and does not say where he is accused of driving.

11 a.m., 330 Main Street. Detective Zachary J. Martin arrested Morgan Bradley Evans, 31, of Bristol, and charged her with interfering with an emergency call under section 53a-183b, disorderly conduct under section 53a-182, risk of injury to a child under section 53-21 and third-degree assault under section 53a-61. Bond was $5,000, surety, on the emergency-call count. The log lists no bond on the other three charges. Court date Oct. 19, the day after the arrest.

The log notes bond was posted in both cases. It does not describe what happened in either one, and it names no one else.
