FARMINGTON — A Los Angeles man was held on a $500,000 bond after Farmington police arrested him early Saturday on a warrant charging attempted first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary.

The only other arrest on the department's logs for the three days ending at 7 a.m. Monday came about 12 and a half hours later at the same address: a Hartford woman, arrested on a warrant charging larceny, possession of a shoplifting device and first-degree threatening. The log for Sunday into Monday was blank.

Saturday, Jan. 4

1:18 a.m., 319 New Britain Avenue. Officer Anthony C. Lustrinelli arrested Jhoan Enrique Mina Lopez, 28, of Los Angeles, Calif., on a warrant charging criminal attempt to commit burglary in the first degree and conspiracy to commit burglary in the first degree. Bond was $500,000, surety, on the attempt count, and none on the conspiracy count. A surety bond requires a bail bondsman or other guarantor. He was held on bond. Court date Jan. 6.

1:46 p.m., 319 New Britain Avenue. Officer Malik D. Brown arrested Blanca Dayanara Pinero-Rodriguez, 40, of Hartford, on a warrant charging larceny in the fourth degree, illegal possession of a shoplifting device and threatening in the first degree, which the log lists as "THREAT 1ST-W/HAZD TO TERRORZE." Bond was $50,000, surety, on the threatening count, and none on the other two. She posted bond. Court date Jan. 14.

The log does not say what either case involves.

Jack Beckett has read enough Farmington arrest logs to know that three days of them can fit on a single page. He read this one twice anyway, on his third coffee. ☕
