FARMINGTON — The Farmington Police Department has posted three arrest logs since last Friday, and all three are empty.
Each log runs 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. The weekend one, Friday to Monday, is blank. So is Monday into Tuesday. So is Wednesday into Thursday.
Tuesday into Wednesday had not been posted as of late Thursday morning. The department's page keeps one log per weekday and swaps in the new one each week, and the Wednesday spot still held the one from the week before.
The last names on any page belonged to one man, arrested twice on warrants the afternoon of Sept. 24. Since then: three pages, one gap, and no arrests on any page the town has posted.
This coverage is supported by Farmington Storage, 155 Scott Swamp Road, the only storage facility in Connecticut with Museum air. Empty pages are a slow week for a police department. Empty space is the whole point of a storage unit. 860.777.4001 📦
Jack Beckett has covered the Farmington police log since March. This week he mostly read empty pages. ☕
The Farmington Mercury covers the town nobody else is covering: police logs, zoning fights, school budgets, the meetings that run past 10 p.m. All of it, eventually, correctly. Our motto is "Always last to breaking news." Find us at farmingtonmercury.com and tell a neighbor. #WeAreFarmington 📰
The Farmington Mercury publishes the Farmington Police Department's daily arrest log as a matter of public record. All individuals named are presumed innocent unless and until convicted. Charges reflect allegations by police, not findings of a court.
