FARMINGTON — A Torrington man faces charges including first-degree threatening involving a firearm, criminal use of a weapon and reckless endangerment after Farmington police arrested him Thursday evening at Farmington Avenue and Brickyard Road. He posted a $25,000 surety bond.
Four other arrests filled the department's logs for the four days ending at 7 a.m. Monday: a failure-to-appear warrant served Thursday morning, a trespass arrest at Westfarms Mall Thursday afternoon, a DUI arrest on Farmington Avenue Friday night and a Bristol man charged Sunday with engaging police in pursuit. The log for Saturday into Sunday was blank.

Aparo arrested Brian Keith Silbourne, 26, of Windsor, at Westfarms Mall, and charged him with criminal trespass in the first degree, breach of peace in the second degree and interfering with an officer. Jack Beckett has reported on enough Farmington arrest logs to know a stop sign can carry a $10,000 bond if it is listed in the right row. He learned this on his second coffee and is still processing it on his fourth. ☕
