FARMINGTON — A Torrington man was arrested Tuesday afternoon on New Britain Avenue on a warrant charging him with engaging police in pursuit and driving while his license was under suspension. He posted a $15,000 surety bond.

It was the only arrest on the department's log for the 24 hours ending at 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Tuesday, Sept. 2

3 p.m., 319 New Britain Avenue. Officer Jose R. Santiago arrested Richard Anthony Lovato, 55, of Torrington, on a warrant charging operating a motor vehicle under suspension and engaging police in pursuit. Bond was $15,000, surety, on the pursuit count, and none on the suspension count. A surety bond requires a bail bondsman or other guarantor. He posted bond. Court date Sept. 3.

The log does not say when the pursuit is alleged to have happened, or where.
