FARMINGTON — Farmington police made two arrests Tuesday, one of them a Farmington man charged with assault and risk of injury to a child, according to the log covering 7 a.m. Tuesday through 7 a.m. Wednesday. The log before it recorded no arrests.
Tuesday, Sept. 15
12:15 p.m., Garden Street. Officer Kelsey R. Fortier arrested Boris V. Kovalevsky, 46, of Farmington, and charged him with disorderly conduct under section 53a-182 of the Connecticut General Statutes, risk of injury to a child under section 53-21 and third-degree assault under section 53a-61. Bond was $1,500, cash, on the risk-of-injury count. The log lists no bond on the other two charges. His court date was Sept. 16, the day after the arrest.
4:50 p.m., 319 New Britain Avenue, the Farmington Police Department. Officer Daniel R. Aparo arrested Michael Anthony Solla, 27, of Southington, on a warrant and charged him with second-degree breach of peace under section 53a-181, operating a motor vehicle under suspension under section 14-215(a) and second-degree threatening under section 53a-62(a)(1). Bond was $2,500, nonsurety, on the breach of peace count. A nonsurety bond is a written promise to appear with a dollar amount attached; no cash changes hands. Court date Sept. 29. The log does not say what the warrant covers or how he came to be at the station.
The log notes bond was posted in both cases. It does not describe what happened in either one, and it names no one else.
