FARMINGTON — A Meriden man was arrested Monday morning on a warrant charging him with misusing the 911 emergency system with a false alarm, along with second-degree breach of peace.

The only other arrest in the 24 hours ending at 7 a.m. Tuesday was a Manchester man held on a re-arrest warrant at a courthouse the log lists as GA 14, with no charge listed.

Monday, Dec. 16

8:32 a.m., 319 New Britain Avenue. Officer Jason M. Passafiume arrested Mariek Vernell Dozier, 29, of Meriden, on a warrant charging second-degree breach of peace and misuse of the emergency 911 system with a false alarm, which the log writes as "MISUSE EMERGNCY 911-FALSE ALRM." The log lists a nonsurety bond on the 911 charge, with the amount column reading $0, and no bond on the breach of peace charge. A nonsurety bond is a written promise to appear; no cash changes hands. He posted bond. Court date Dec. 24.

10:17 a.m., GA 14. Officer Jeffrey A. Glaude arrested Luis Geraldo Leon, 33, of Manchester. The log lists no charge for this arrest; its remarks read, "Re-arrest warrant. Held on bond." Court date Dec. 16, the same day.

The Farmington Mercury types up what the town's public records actually say: the arrest log, the zoning decisions, the school board votes and the town council agendas. The Farmington Mercury publishes the Farmington Police Department's daily arrest log as a matter of public record. All individuals named are presumed innocent unless and until convicted. Charges reflect allegations by police, not findings of a court.
