A Simsbury woman was booked at Farmington police headquarters Wednesday on a warrant charging her with leaving the scene of a crash that caused injury or property damage, driving under a suspended license, and unsafe backing. She posted a $2,500 bond and was released.
Natasha Caprice Blanchard, 25, of 31 Hilltop Drive in Simsbury, was arrested at 5:43 p.m. July 22 at 319 New Britain Avenue, the Farmington Police Department's address and the place where the department serves outstanding warrants. Officer Kyler A. Fausel made the arrest.
The warrant lists three charges: evading responsibility in an accident causing injury or property damage, operating a motor vehicle under a suspended license, and unsafe backing. The log puts a $2,500 nonsurety bond on the evading count and $0.00 beside the other two. Blanchard posted and was released, with a court date of August 5. The log says nothing about where the crash happened, when it happened, or what was struck.
The other two arrests both came Thursday, and both were larcenies.
Timothy Wesley Gray, 23, of 100 Trumbull Street in Hartford, was arrested at 10:18 a.m. July 23 on a warrant charging him with larceny in the second degree. The count carried a $20,000 surety bond, the largest on this log. The log marks it a warrant arrest served by habeas, the process by which a person already in custody elsewhere is produced to answer a charge. Officer Jeffrey A. Glaude made the arrest. Gray's court date is listed as the same day, July 23. The log says nothing about what was taken.
The day's second larceny was smaller, and more familiar.
Miguel Angel Rodriguez, 37, of 191 Saybrooke Street in Hartford, was arrested at 5:43 p.m. July 23 at 1600 Southeast Road on a charge of larceny in the sixth degree. The department filed it as a shoplifting case. The count carried a $2,500 nonsurety bond. Rodriguez posted and was released, with a court date of August 6. Officer Pacifico T. Flores made the arrest.
Those were the three arrests logged July 22 and 23. None of the three lives in Farmington, which is true of most people who turn up on this log.
